SS - You are my Only Wish
Chapter 5:
After an hour, Arnav descended the stairs looking at everyone who were running here and there doing one thing or other. He mentally cursed himself for landing in this situation. He threw a mock glare to Anita who was running around followed by Aman.
“LITTLE DEVIL” muttered under his breath and got down when he heard the ever sweet voice of his sister. He closed his eyes to control himself not to say anything aloud.
“Chotte” Anjali called her brother again.
“Haan Di.. Do you need anything?” asked Arnav praying not to hear what he was thinking.
“Chotte, Come and sit in pooja” said Anjali smiling at him.
Arnav smiled in return, sarcastic smile..
“Sorry Di.. Im waiting for an important business call. Please” Arnav said thinking what’s that important call was about.
“Chotte” Whined Anjali..
“Haan Akash” saying Arnav excused himself and got out of the place
“Huff… Great escape. ASR, be careful man or else you will be in mess” warned Arnav to himself.
He looked at his mobile waiting for Akash’s call.
*********
Akash looked at himself in the reflection of the door inside the lift. He was looking as if he had fought with someone, had catfight and all. His hair was such a mess. He remember the incident that happened not so long before sometime.
Sad Flashback:
Akash stood before the flat number 35, he was thinking whether to ring the bell or not. Bracing himself he rang and stood there waiting for someone to open the door. After 10 minutes of wait, he saw the door was opening, there stood a lady in her late 20’s.
“Yar venum(Whom do you want? in tamil)” asked the lady.
Akash understood that the lady doesn’t know hindi…
He opened his mouth and started, “You..” but stopped looking at the bulky figure of a man standing behind the lady.
The lady who heard only his ‘you’ misinterpreted his words, glared at him..
“Enagaaa…” the lady shouted calling her husband…
Akash stood startled at her shout.
He saw that bulky man approaching the lady… He heard him asking her
“Enama, Ena achu.( What happened?)” glaring at Akash.
The lady looked at him and them Akash.
“Enaga.. Ivaru nantha venum nu solraru..(He said, he wants me ah)” said the lady.
Akash only stood there not understanding what they were actually speaking(Poor sould, only if he knows what they were speaking, he would have ran away from the place)
Akash saw that man fisting his hands, his eyes turning red. Akash was wiping the sweat formed on his forehead.
The man grabbed Akash’s tie and pulled him inside, the lady closed the door.
Outside the closed door, all could be heard was Akash’s voice in pain.
Flashback ends.
“ASR, soon you will receive my Resignation letter” saying he switched off his mobile phone.
**********
Arnav furiously dialed Akash’s number only to hear, “The number you are trying to reach is currently switched off. Please try…” he cut down the call even before the voice completes.
Aman looked at his brother thinking, ‘Who is the poor soul suffering in ASR’s hand’
Arnav saw his dad, Ankit walking towards him.
“Arnav”
“Haan dad”
“have you appointed new secretary for Akash?” questioned his dad.
‘Damn you Akash. You are dead.’ cursing Akash, Arnav nodded at his dad and said,
“I think Akash took the interview yesterday for an hour and appointed a girl”
“Oh that’s great. By the way Arnav can you attend mehra’s party day after tomorrow, as I have some important meeting.”
Arnav’s face was worth to watch.
“Dad, you know..”
“haan I know beta, that you dont like attending parties, but you can do this for me” said his dad making a poor face.
At last Arnav agreed to go there.
Later pooja ended with happy note, hearing all the what the’s, unbelievable’s, damn’s from the great ASR, who got his cheeks red with all the pullings of the ladies in the name of greetings and blessings.
Arnav got into his room, rubbing his cheeks mentally noting down not to attend these kind of things ever in his lifetime.
In the meantime, he had dialed Akash’s number numerous times. This is his 85th call, but the call went unattended.
*********
Akash was sleeping peacefully on his bed when he heard a loud ringing of his door bell.
He jumped from his bed and looked blank for a minute. He looked at the clock beside his bedside table, only to see the clock striking 11.00pm.
‘Who the hell was that?. I wont leave the person who is disturbing my beauty sleep. Already Vampire Raizada was literally sucking my blood with his glare, now who is there to suck my life’ cursing and throwing all the no nonsense words, Akash walked to the entrance.
He peeped outside through the lens only to stand shocked…
‘The man of my thoughts, Mr. Vampire Raizada is here to suck my life. Why god? Why me?. don’t you feel pity on my state?. Where did I made a mistake?. Why did you made my life with this DEVIL’ Akash was saying all this looking about at his ceiling.
************
Arnav was waiting impatiently. He tried staying at his home thinking he might ask everything tomorrow when Akash reach his office. But he was restless to know about her. He damn so much wanted to know who is she and what she is.
************
After thinking for two minutes, Akash slowly opened his door, only to come face to face with VDR…
Akash was mentally appreciating his talent of finding a new name to the man standing before him, Vampire Devil Raizada.
He smiled sheepishly, ignoring the glare throwing by THE VDR.
“VDR” blurted out Akash, not thinking what he was saying.
“VDR?” Arnav asked confused hearing something, thinking it might be related to so called mystery girl Khushi Gupta.
A mystery he really wanted to know, A puzzle he really wanted to solve.
