OS - Hold Me, If I fall Apart

OS - Hold Me, If I fall Apart

A girl was walking aimlessly on the pavement dressed on her bridal wear. No one can judge her by seeing her attire. Her vision was not focussed. Her eyes had lost the zeal, as if she had lost everything that her life had held together. She was feeling weak, that she wanted to drop herself and cry her heart out. But can she?. How can she cry on her fate which she herself wrote for her. She was holding herself and walking, when she stumbled on her foot. She closed her eyes waiting for her to hit the ground. But she didn’t feel any of these things, instead a sudden warmth spread on her spine, making her lose herself. After the demise of her parents, she was for the very first time feeling those alien things in her life.

She heard a voice that was calling for her. Did that person called me? She was ordered, asked, shouted, but never ever in her life she was cared. She opened her eyes and looked at the chocolate brown eyes in which love, care and concern are oozing out for her. Her?

Did she felt those things are for her?. The pain that the past gave her clouded on her face when she heard the stranger’s voice.

“It is okay to let go. Because there will be someone who is always there to hold you when you fall down”.

Her eyes snapped open at him. Those words that was said to her, soothed her heart. Those words were conveying the indirect vow that the statement held, but her heart was still in refusal. Feeling exhausted she closed her eyes letting her heart and mind to rest in peace.

**********

She opened her eyes after what felt like ages only to stare back at the same chocolate brown eyes. She don’t know why. But this particular pair eyes were disturbing her senses and playing mind games with her.

Realization dawned on her that she was actually staying with an unknown person. Her eyes widened, a corner of her mind was making an effort to escape from the place.

“Hey! Hey! Be assured that I am not a stalker or a serial killer.”

She smiled little at his choice of words.

“BTW it would be nice to know the first name and last name as well”

“Khushi Gupta”

“Arnav Raizada”

“Hmm”

“I guess a, ‘Nice to meet you’ is in order”

“I don’t believe in saying anything that I don’t mean even if it is for manners”

“Aww.. that hurts. Okay Ms. Gupta. I don’t want to know the reason for your stunts on the road and I don't even care for who you are and what you are. But all i would say is.. There is nothing to get hurt when everything was a pretense in the first place. Life is too short to be spent in hurt and grief. At times it is okay to leave the shroud that covers yourself” saying so Arnav left her pondering over her thoughts.

“wish I could practice the same” she thought with a hint of sadness.

*********

It’s been a week since they both had met. It’s been a week since she had came out of her so called foster parents. It’s been a week since she came out of her marriage clutches. It’s been week since she had started living for her. Their friendship were growing with slow and strong steady pace.

*********
Khushi was sitting at her porch of her room, sipping her coffee…

“My life took a turn.. But it’s for good… I feel perfect… with Arnav, my life seems perfect. But still I’m lacking the confident.. What if one day I will lose everything which I  got back now? My life didnt go exactly I planned.. But It was exactly what I wanted.. Can it ever be perfect?” She was pondering over her thoughts, when she saw a Handsome young man walking towards her…

“Hey barbie doll”

Khushi took the plastic flower kept on vase and throwed at him…

“Ouch that hurts Khush”

Khushi glared at him…

“What?” The man asked her..

“Stop calling me barbie doll Arnav....”

“But you are one baby”

“Get lost”

“I will.. Once you answer my question”

“Do hell with your question”

“But muffin”

“Arnav…”

“Okay relax Sweetheart”

“How many names you will call me Arnav….?”

“Till you listen me”

“Okay tell me.. What is it?”

“Khushi… I have fallen in love with you from yesterday when I saw you standing under the moon smiling at me.. I felt perfect.. Will you marry me?”

Khushi stood shocked at him…

“What happened Khush? You alright?

“Did you just proposed me?”

Arnav shrugged his shoulder..

“I think yes”

“You moron.. Is the way to propose?”

Arnav pouted his lips…

“Sorry baby.. I dont know… never proposed one before…”

“You got to be kidding me”

“Baccha.. Im serious.. You are the  only girl i proposed”

“You idiot…. Not this… with the way you asking me to marry you…”

“Whats there to be kidding?.. I love you and want to marry you.. It is as simple as it sounds.. Right?”

“Yes right… get lost”

Saying Khushi got inside her room..

“Khushi.. You cant do this to me.. Answer me na.. Please..”

“Take your please and move out of this place..”

“Im not going without your answer”

“Then rot in hell”

Its been an hour Khushi locked herself inside her room, but no movement from Arnav… She came out after an hour to see what’s going only to stand astonished at the sight…

Arnav having her chocolate bar all alone himself…

“Arnav.. My chocolate”

He grinned at her showing all his chocolate smeared teeth.

Khushi launched herself at him pulling his hairs out..

“Ahhhhh…. Devil.. Its paining woman” said Arnav clutching her hand..

“I want my chocolate” shouted Khushi..

“You wanted your chocolate right?...” Saying he grabbed her face and placed his lips…

Khushi closed her eyes for a minute, then understanding the situation she started responding him. She knows, this is not a mistake.. She understood her feelings for him long back. But she felt selfish to confess her feelings… She dont want to bind him forever with her even after what he did for her.. But when he reciprocated the same feelings, she is ready to take the chance..

Arnav removed his lips from her, when he felt her in deep thoughts..

“Will you marry me?”

Khushi smiled and asked…

“Only if you hold me when I fall apart”

“I will never let you fall apart dear.. And I dont need reasons to hold you…” saying he again placed his lips sealing their life together.

THE END
