OS -Papa, Who is a women?

Arnav Singh Raizada and His daughter Ashi Arnav Singh Raizada, both were in hospital. Arnav was tensed and nervous thinking about his wife, Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada who is inside the labour. Khushi was shouting in pain, that can be heard by Arnav and Ashi

“Papa.. why mama is shouting” A four year Ashi asked her dad

“Because… She is in pain baby” Arnav said..

“Why don’t you take her pain away?.. You promised me na, you will never give any pain to me.. Then please don’t allow pain near my mama” Ashi said crying expecting her dad to stop her mama’s pain..

“I can’t take away this pain baby” Arnav said, not knowing how to explain his daughter.

“Why papa?”Ashi asked not satisfied with her dad’s answer.

“Because she is a women” Arnav answered honestly.

He knows his Khushi is the best women.

“What is mean by women?” Ashi asked looking at her dad for some answer…

“Women is the one who bears all kinds of situations, including a pain she endures while giving birth to her kid”Arnav said, trying to make his daughter understand.

“Why she endure pain in giving birth to kid?.” Ashi asked, wanting to know more about this.

“Because, only she can be able to embrace everyone at the sametime with love, care and affection. Women has the love, one can never get from anyone” Arnav honestly said, thinking back to the time, when he did hurt her, but every time Khushi accepted the hurt with smile.

“Did mom too was in pain, when she gave birth to me?”Ashi asked hearing her mom’s cry.

“yes baby, She was in pain… but only for us, for her its the most beautiful pain.. She is a mother”Arnav said thinking back to the time when Khushi was in labour pain.

“If it is a beautiful pain, then why she is crying” Ashi asked remembering her mama’s teary face.

“Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride” Arnav said after seeing all the tears his khushi had shed till now.

“Does she have to cry for everything papa?”Ashi asked, because she is like her father, can’t see tears in her mama’s eyes.

“She sings when she feels like crying, she cries when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid. She bears all the pain with a smile on her lips dear” Arnav said remembering her happy face after every hard phase of her life.

“But papa, mama is so soft, how can she bear so much pain”Ashi asked, afraid about her mama’s condition.

“No baby, she is strong. You can’t imagine what she can endure and overcome” Arnav said feeling proud to have her in his life.

“Dad, Mom is Marvellous” Ashi exclaimed..

“Indeed she is.. She has the strength that amazes me. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens, She holds all the happiness and love of our life. She is the medicine for Us dear” Arnav said smiling thinking about his Khushi unexplainable love she has for them.

“Medicine?” Ashi asked doubtful.. from when did mama started pharmacy..

“Yes medicine. She cures herself when she is sick and works for 18 hours a day.She gives a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart” Arnav explained his point of view to his daughter.

“Dad, why did women have to bear so many burden on them?” Ashi asked after hearing his dad’s explanation.

“Because only she finds strength to get on with life. Her love is unconditional baby” Arnav said wiping away a drop tears from his corner of his eyes.

“My mom is perfect” Ashi said with pride.

“No beta, she is not perfect… She has one drawback” Arnav said in absent mind.

“Drawback?” Ashi asked thinking what is may be.

“Yeah.. She forgets herself in all this”Arnav said remembering all the times KHushi failed to take care of herself.

“Then, we should take care of her papa and we will, its Ashi’s promise”Ashi said promising her dad, keep her little hands on his rough palm.

“Yes beta, we will take care of her” Arnav said, that when they heard loud cry of his Khushi following the baby cry. He composed his heart and stood up, taking Ashi in his arms..

Doctor came and informed them “Mr.Raizada, you are a father of a Beautiful Son. Congratulation. You can see your wife and your daughter after some minute” saying, she left.

After some time, Arnav entered the ward room, and saw his tired khushi and his son sleeping next to each other..

Ashi and Arnav smiled at eachother

Arnav thought , ‘She is the trigger of my life.. My Khushi”

Ashi looked at Arnav and said, “Papa, I want to a great women, like my mom”

“You will be Ashi, because you have a great Mother” Arnav said kissing his daughter. He moved toward his wife and son, dropped a kiss on his son’s forehead.

He looked at Khushi, smiled and Kissed her forehead saying ‘I love you Khushi’

Khushi woke up with his kiss and smiled at him..

‘Only Women can smile after bearing hours of pain. Women are always great’ Arnav thought and smiled back at her.
